I’m a terrible person and I lied to you all. I had another week off from blogging.
Although it wasn’t by choice, it was because I haven’t really been able to function or string words into sentences. In other words I’ve been T-I-R-E-D.
You know I’m really starting to despise winter more and more.
First, it means flu season.
My 7 month old is a great sleeper and I love that about him but this week has been awful. He has an awful viral/flu/cold which means that we’ve all had no sleep. Wednesday night I was able to capture an hour or so worth of sleep in 10 minute increments and in those short bursts of sleep I dreamt of…pressure points.
Remember in The Simpsons when Homer trains as a bodyguard and learns how to manipulate pressure points so that he can put his wife and kids to sleep to catch a few winks?
Well that’s what I dreamt of last night. Of course I was suddenly and abruptly awoken from these thoughts by my poor crying child. Even the bags under my eyes are tired, if it wasn’t for my husband taking over last night I think they would have even packed up and left their cosy home on my face.
Second, the horrendous snow.
Being a person who never grew up having snowy winters or particularly cold winters it’s tough going. I really don’t like driving on the icy roads so the little man and I are usually stuck at home during the week. If he could walk and talk I’m sure at the end of the week he would be coming at me screaming ‘Redrum’.
This is exactly why I don’t like going out in this weather. This country is useless at keeping their roads safe during the winter.
Here’s hoping to a better and healthier week..
and if anyone can clue me in on the pressure point thing, that would be greatly appreciated.
