Yes, I agree you can celebrate your country from the other side of the world – WHOOO!! AUSTRALIA DAY!! (That would be my effort if I were home)
However taking into account that the snow is sitting on my window sill and that I have to tread with precision outside so that I don’t slip over, it doesn’t feel much like Australian weather to me –whooo…australia day.. (This is how I feel, not much effort at all)
So, seeing as I’m not able to enjoy the warm weather, or wear just one layer of clothing and eat summer foods. I will let you in on a little blog that never fails to make me feel a little closer to home – usually resulting in a little homesickness, but that’s okay.
Her blog is - Harvest&Her
This blog is written by one of my friends I met while travelling through Europe in the summer of 2010. Her photos are always absolutely stunning, her blog always has such a fresh feel to it you can’t help but feel rejuvenated after visiting it.
Her creativeness, eye for finding the beauty in small things and love of Australia always makes me excited to get back to the country I call home.
Hope all you Australians back home and worldwide have had a great day

/ January 26, 2013I want to go to Australia so bad now, that photograph is exactly how I always picture it color-wise – deep blues and warm red/brown. Gorgeous!
Happy Australia Day!
