/ April 14, 2013My daughter keeps complaining about how she looks in her pictures. I tell her when she gets older she’ll appreciate them… It’s so great that you guys are still friends.

/ April 15, 2013I hated photos of me when I was younger but I’m so grateful for them now. Tell her to be as silly as possible because they will be her favourite ones

/ March 3, 2013HI there – cvbgirl here (Christine) thought I’d not hijack Kelle’s feed anymore
Anyway, hope you make it home soon. We’re seriously talking/planning it (helps we’re both Aussies and being in England was only every going to be temporary), but the thought of leaving our life here behind makes me suck in my breath as well. I’m beginning to feel stuck between both countries.
We just had a second baby and the grandparents left when she was 5 weeks old. We feel so guilty that the children are missing out on a relationship with their grandparents. Our son was lost for a few days after they left, wondering where they were.

/ March 4, 2013Haha yeah we kind of hijacked that photo. I know about it being temporary, I came over here backpacking and somehow ended up getting married and having a baby. LOL.
I’m so desperate to get home and then in the next second I get so nervous about actually living there. I don’t know why, I guess I’m so used to how things work here, how much cheaper chocolate and amazon free delivery
Where in the UK are you? And where do you call home back in Aus?
Christine Barker
/ March 7, 2013In the UK we call Milton Keynes home. You might have heard of it, it’s a new town with an unwarranted negative reputation. It is actually like living in Australia or the US because it is a new town, built in the 60s, we have wide streets and they’re parallel. It isn’t like living in England.
In Australia we’re both from Melbourne, but think we’ll live in the country when we return. I actually had to go back last year and stayed for 2 months (family emergency), it actually put me off living in Melbourne/outer suburbs. We’ve both come to like aspects of life here, and when I talk to my friends here of going home I realise how settled we are here and we’re going to have to start all over again when we go home….
It’s a tough one. If we didn’t have children we might not go back at all.
how are about you? Where is in Aus do you want to settle?
Having children and surviving a cold/wet winter really showed how hard it is… constantly thinking of entertaining indoor activities is hard!
Cheers Christine
